Software continues to “eat the world,” and our dependency on software continues to evolve, so there’s time for teams to suffer from rework and delays. Closing the gap between application lifecycle management (ALM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) gives your workers improved toolsets to implement during the development lifecycle. (more…)

Organizations have the ability to bridge the gap between application lifecycle management (ALM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) – with proper ALM-PLM integration providing immediate business implications.
ALM-PLM integration provides the following benefits: Visibility across all assets, accurately link firmware with hardware, and collaboration and traceability of assets throughout all lifecycle phases. Engineers will not be overwhelmed by irrelevant data, as they are able to work in a domain familiar to them. Visit the ALM-PLM page by clicking here.

Polarion Software has been listed as a “Market Leader” in two separate categories by the Ovum analyst group, a great honor after being compared to numerous other vendors.
As a market leader in both the Application Lifecycle Management Solution Report and Agile Project Management Solution Report, Polarion ALM [visit the Polarion ALM page] provides support for the complete software development lifecycle – from requirements management up to build and release management.
Organizations discover that a lack of a proper lifecycle management process can disrupt work, waste valuable manpower, and ultimately push back development time. (more…)
There is tough competition in the enterprise business world, as developers need to constantly create innovative software. The ability to embrace Enterprise Agile helps your team deliver better software – and at a much faster pace.
Choosing Enterprise Agile provides: “the opportunity to finally have the full benefit of Agile adoption and forget all, or at least some, of the delusions they had with Agile on the team level.”
Successful adoption is a difficult task, however, and there is plenty of room for improvement.

Today’s tough competition means that enterprise developers have to rapidly produce innovative software. Agile methods and approaches have a proven record of delivering better software at a faster pace.
But… and it’s a big “but” in regulated industries, many enterprises must also meticulously document everything they do in order to demonstrate compliance with regulations and standards. The result is a Speed vs. Compliance gap. It’s a bit like having to drive a sports car with the parking brake half engaged.
Let’s face it – when you have to be compliant, you’re never going to be agile in the same way as a business that doesn’t. But your competitors have the same problem. So anything you can do to become more agile can amount to a significant competitive advantage. And that’s where Polarion Software’s lifecycle management solutions can really help you deliver the goods.
Polarion Software recently joined one of our valued partners, Perforce Software, during the European Automotive Technology Roadshow 2016. It was a fun and exciting opportunity to hop in the roadshow trailer, visiting different locations in the UK and Europe.
During the event, we visited OEMs and tier 1 suppliers in the UK and Germany and Belgium, with stops at Nissan, Aston Martin, Ford, Adam Opel, Continental, and Toyota. It was a great opportunity to speak with a variety of different engineers and managers responsible for R&D, software, and mechanical products.
Software development is now more complex than ever, with increased lines of code, demand for smart connectivity, and limited time to resolve post-launch issues. Poorly defined requirements often can lead to software product failures, displaying a clear lack of traceability and accountability across development teams.
Requirements take different forms based on an organization’s size, processes (or lack thereof), and project workload, but requirements management must be at the forefront of development and manufacturing. (more…)
Your workplace is changing, and that is forcing an evolution into how products and services are being created, then deployed to customers.
The explosive increase in the Internet of Things (IoT) is something that must be rolled out in a careful, calculated manner. It’s a trend that you’re going to hear more about in the future, with IoT connectivity spreading to greater impact our lives. (more…)
As most of you know, Polarion Software is a global world ALM leader and creator of the first 100% browser-based ALM in 2005, Polarion was also the first unified application lifecycle management (ALM) solution delivered to the market as a commercial-off-the-shelf-software (COTS) solution.
Continuing with this thought leadership, we extended our solution and delivered a successful integration of ALM with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions to create a cohesive systems development solution for our customers.
